In March, COVID-19 shut down the schools that we work to support. We here at Project: Distributing Dignity have been awaiting word that the schools will reopen so we can start supporting disadvantaged students again. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like that will happen anytime soon.
Not all hope is lost! Our board of diverse students, who are also stuck at home due to the pandemic, are attempting to determine if individual sponsorship of the students on the Reservation is plausible. Even if they are not in a brick school building, students on the Reservation don't get a break from experiencing period poverty while they study from home.
Please look for an update on our sponsorship program soon!
